“We absolutely love the photos! Thank you so much!!”
Not so long ago John and Katy got married and Buckhurst Park in East Sussex played host. It was such a great day I really don’t know where to begin!
Well let’s start with John and Katy. They were a dream to work with and this always comes across in the photos I find. I have to give a mention to Katy’s fantastic company Lost Property of London which salvages fabrics and transforms them into stunning bags and accessories, take a look if you get a chance, it’s awesome stuff.
Katy with her bridesmaids and close family were getting ready at her childhood home near Groombridge in Kent, and this is where I joined up with them on a glorious summer’s morning. I then moved on a while after t0 the church of St Michael and All Angels in nearby Withyham to meet up with John and guests, and after a lovely ceremony we headed to a hidden gem of a venue.
As a documentary wedding photographer I’ve been lucky enough to cover a lot of great venues in Kent and East Sussex, but Buckhurst Park was a new one for me and what a corker of a place it is. We were blessed with a beautiful summers day here, a great folk band called The Hobos provided chilled out background tunes, and what with it being the summer solstice also, had a lingering sunset to round off a perfect day.
A special mention must go to one of the best wedding bands I’ve seen. The Soultanas kicked butt from the first note and had everyone jumping! Fun times indeed.
My picks from this great day follow and please comment at the bottom of the page if you like! Always great to hear from you. 🙂
Great images and thanks so much for the kind endorsement.
I hope our paths cross again soon and best wishes,
Laurence
My pleasure Laurence! You guys were awesome!
