Ian and Lottie approached me over a year ago to photograph their Kent wedding at the stunning Hever Castle, which took place at the end of May.  Steeped in history being the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, and with its beautiful gardens overlooking a huge boating lake, you couldn’t really ask for much more as a Kent wedding photographer.

The day started out with me meeting Lottie and her bridesmaids at the Hever Castle Hotel where they were getting ready, a calm morning of makeup, champagne and hair followed by lunch in the courtyard!  As there was time to do so I also drove down the road to get some shots of Ian and the boys in the local pub garden savouring a cold beer in the garden!  I then popped back to the hotel to get some extra shots of Lottie getting into her stunning dress.

The weather was spot on for the Hever Castle wedding, warm sunshine with a breeze off the lake as the ceremony took place in the Loggia in the Italian Gardens which overlooked the water, a great setting and unique as far as I know in Kent.  The red carpet was laid along the lawn as Lottie and her bridesmaids approached, and the ceremony went perfectly with some group and couples shots afterwards taking in the stunning grounds.

It was then into the pavilion for the wedding breakfast and some speeches followed by the band kicking up and a lovely first dance from Ian and Lottie.
